The Ski Museum is nominated for the National Museum of the Year award 2011

The Ski Museum in Holmenkollen, together with Glomdalsmuseet, Lofotr Viking Museum and Norsk Teknisk Museum are nominated for the National Museum of the Year award 2011. The winner will be announced on the evening of 25 August.

New Festival in Holmenkollen this summer

The new festival "Kollen" will be arranged for the first time this summer the last weekend in June. The festival will last for two days and Rihanna is opening the show on Friday 29th of June.

Oslo Municipality is the owner of Holmenkollen. The Association for the Promotion of Skiing is responsible for the daily operation of Holmenkollen.

The Shops

There are two souvenir shops in Holmenkollen. One is connected to the Ski Museum and has a wide range of different souvenirs. This shop also features a large Dale of Norway section, with their newest models.There is also an additional textile section featuring jackets, sweaters, t-shirts etc.The Museum Shop has a wide assortment of typical Norwegian products such as trolls, moose products and viking products.Holmenkollen Ski Museum and Jump Tower have also developed a line of unique Holmenkollen products.

 Under the royal grand stand, incorporated in the hill, we have a brand new souvenir shop. The visual profile of the ski jump is reflected in the shop's design.The shop has a terrace with a panoramic view of the Holmenkollen National Arena as well as the city and the Oslo fjord.

 Shop'n Coffee

The café in Holmenkollen is modernized and there is seating for 40 to 50 people. Shop'n Coffee offers a selection of hot and cold beverages, sandwiches, salads, icecream, brownies etc. On the southside of the café you will find a new terrace,with seatings and with a view of the city and the Oslo Fjord.

Other facilities

For those who do not wish to visit the Jump Tower or the Museum, we have several outdoor areaes with a great view of the arena and of the city. In Holmenkollen we offer free parking and restrooms.
